Abstrakt

The paper focuses on Schiller's articulation of the notion of nature inspired by his attempts to reconsider Kant's understanding of human product. Schiller himself paid attention especially to the imitation of a natural object - it is the identification of the former that makes the registration of the historical change of the subject possible. The concept of imitation offers also a new understanding of nature recquring a transcendental approach to it as a whole. The concept of nature splits then into two concepts the concept of "real nature" on one hand and the concept of "true nature" on the other. On Schiller's view the return to the original, e. g. ancient Greek standpoint identifying nature with world is no more possible.
