Abstrakt

The author argues that the apologetics of religion and of the historical heritage of Christian tradition in philosophical hermeneutics of H.-G. Gadamer is in its ontological foundations linked up with the initiations of the so called Christian Platonism, especially with Heidegger’s existentialist mythical conception of the dialogue, discourse („Gespräch“), which supposedly overcomes schematic. separation of subject and object in traditional metaphysics. In agreement with this hypostatilzation of speech as primary ontologic principle the speech process. („Sprachgeschehen“) represents the basic ontological starting point of apologetic thesis of Gadamer, namely that the limitation and the finitness of human existence may be essentially overcome by the „openness“ towards the language of evangelic aimounciation. The author bases his critique of these fideist and religiously aesthetizing moments of Gadamer's philosophic-theological thinking on the concrete analysis of several categories of hermeneutic ontology (language, temporality, historicity, etc.).
