Abstrakt

The development of Slovak philosophy from 1970 to 1990 was predeterminated by the military intervention against the process od democratization initiated by A. Dubček. After the personal and bureaucratic restrictions of the activities of so called revisionists the political and the ideological role of philosophy have been reestablished. Many Soviet handbooks were introduced as models for our philosophy. The autonomous scientific research has benn strongly restricted, but in spite of that a few books dedicated to history of philosophy, to logic and epistemology has been published. Only after Gorbatchow’s perestroika in 1985 criticism and autonomous philosophical researches were revived. By 1989 one period in the development of Slovak philosophy has ended. Conditions encouraging its pluralistic character were reestablished.
