Abstrakt
By means of a genetic analysis of the communist party, three basic stages can be found out — the origin, development and activity of the communist party until the socialistic revolution, further during the building of socialism, and from it to the buiMing-up of communist society. The present contribution deals mainly with the first and second stage. It is necessary to approach also the analysis of the communist party as a vanguard in the social movement from the standpoint of the above historical stages. At each stage, different functional character of the party comes forward, to which the contents and orientation of the activity of the party is being subordinated. A non-historical approach to the communist party always led to the weakening of the labor movement and of the development of the socialistic transformation of the world. Essentially, two extremes of the non-historical approach to the party can be found: First, the so-called shift of the significance and functional character of the party in the structure of the movement of society ahead, which delayed the rise of the socialistic revolution or rendered it impossible. Secondly, forced prolongation of the functional character of the party from the preceding historical stage in the next stage, which led to deformation and inhibition of the social movement. Any trends aiming at the creation of self-purposefulness of the party lead after all to the paralysis of the party in the social movement. The historical process of self-realization of the party in the social movement leads to a new social quality which means, at the same time, the end of the existence of all political institutions and hénce of the communist party as well.
