Concerning the Conception of New Age Rationality

Abstract

In the paper the conception of New Age rationality is based on the analysis of works of thinkers such as Galileo, Descartes, Newton, Leibniz, and others. It is stressed that this ahistorical-technological rationality was developed through categories of relation and quantity. It is also stated that in the philosophy of the New Age natural substance becomes a constant criterion of the truth of human knowledge and utility of human doing. The author considers especially empiricism to be the base of experimental-mathematical natural science of the New Age. In connection with that he analyzes inductive and deductive procedures, and in the context with the latter also forming of scientific hypotheses.
