Abstract

The discussions and controversies of the fifties and the sixties, concerning the history of philosophy, show the controversial and miscellaneous character of the marxist philosophy even in the period of its domination. They instantiate the resitance of the critical reasoning to the simplifications of the history of philosophy in the Soviet marxist-leninist conception. The so called revisionist criticism of the principles of the official historiography gave rise to a certain deideologization of historical philosophical inquiries and to a more differentiated view of the past periods. Last, but not least, this criticism contributed to the dethronement of marxist doctrine.
