Abstract

The paper deals with the approach to the so called psychophysical unity as developed by the Slovak philosopher Svätopluk Štúr in the 1940s. The approach is examined in the context of current conceptions of psychophysical reductionism, parallelism and interactionalism. The author shows S. Štúr as indicating the possible resolution in his philosophy of the "organic whole".
