Abstract
The theory of relativity brought about important changes not only in the development of scientific theories, but also in ontology and epistemology. The author (she) examines the impact of this theory on philosophical thought in Slovakia. Attention is paid especially to the twenties of the 20th century when the discussions about the theory of relativity in physics and in philosophy have reached their top.
