Abstract

The paper offers a whole picture of the intuitive realism in Slovakia represented by the work of J. Dieška and N. O. Lossky. In its first part the epistemological foundations of this philosophy are examined on the background of the basic ideas of Lossky’s metaphysical personalism. In the second part the comparison of intuitive realism with the ideas of English and American neorealism is applied in order to show their incommensurability. In the last part the ethical and axiological elemetnts in Lossky’s metaphysical personalism deriving from the mysticism of the Russian orthodox religious philosophy are examined.
