Abstract

On the author’s view Raskolnikov gives several Dostoevsky’s own selfinterpretations of the „idea“ of his crime, which were later on taken over by variou interpreters of Dostoevsky’s novel The crime and the punishment. No comparative analysis was given concerning Stirner’s resp. Raskolnikov’s ideas. Thus the genesis of Raskolnikov’s „idea“ remains ununderstood. As Dostoevsky suggests, Raskolnikov’s „new word“ has no value, if the price paid for it is the other’s life. In the epilogue of the novel, which gave rise to many controversial views, Dostoevsky suggests Raskolnikov’s revival on the ground of new Christianity.
