Abstract

What was remarkable on the genesis of Husserl's phenomenology is his original rejection of the importance of the historical-philosophical knowledge in effective articualtion of this philosophical doctrine. It is evident, however, that in its final evolutionary period the philosophical background can not be dismissed any more. Husserl's historical-philosophical reflection (especially in his Crisis) mounts to a remarkable project of philosophy of the history of philosophy, which shows the history of modem philosophy as a struggle for human meaning. In Crisis Husserl outlines a project of a scientific history of philosophy, which is a sort of poetry for him. And this is the very evidence of the fact, that the dream of phenomenology as a strict science is really over.
