Abstract

In the paper some aspects of the function of self-reflection from the viewpoint of its relation to human activity are analyzed. The question, such as how the contradiction between the aim and the result of activity influences the character of changes in the strategy of activity, is opposed, alternatively, what is the connection between activity, cognition and evaluation. The author of the paper holds that evaluation „enters“ the dialectics of activity and cognition as an element of culture or as a normative cultural means. This examines self-reflection as a fine spiritual instrument of consciousness, making itself felt in motivation and regulation of human activity.
