Abstract
Aesthetic needs as a means of cultural socialization of the individuality in the social organism take part in the formation of the socially relevant ideal, inciting the creative activity of Man, in the construction of his model of the universe with the consequent orientation of behaviour and activity. Even though the aesthetic activity is secondary in relation to the practical one, it moulds the latter it makes the latter humane and thus contributes to human progress. Social division of labour and the rise of the antagonistic class social relationships branded substantially the concrete forms of the relationship between the aesthetic culture of the society and the way of life of broad masses. In the non-antagonistic organization of the developed socialist society the growth of aesthetic needs of all members of the society assumed the task of balancing and harmonizing life activities of Man, the way of his social existence.
