Abstract
In the paper the transformation of natural temporality into social temporality is elucidated, starting from the dual objectification of the results of human work. The forming of social time is not conceived as linear quantitative changes but as antagonistic evolution, taking place both in the sphere of objective preconditions and results of productive activity and in the sphere of social forms of work. The determination of the time of work and the duration of production not as identical quantities follows above all from the fact that the duration of the phase of production is mostly determined by material conditions of production while the time of work is dependent on social and production relationships. The differences, but also similarities of temporal form of ways of production are also given by the fact that objectification of evolutionary lower forms of work is effectuated in form of material product and only later appears on the level of social relationships, which exerts considerable influence on the character of dialectical negation of individual modifications of temporality. By means of the dual character of work and of its temporality we can grasp more precisely the realization of the law of negation in the development of social temporality.
