Abstract
From his philosophical beginnings L. Szántó has been standing firmly on the positions of Marxism-Leninism and scientific socialism. Where does L. Szántó's certitude stem from and which is the cause that he has not yet penetrated more deeply into the consciousness of the Slovak philosophers, namely the young ones — this is just the problem that is the object of the present paper. The author wants, by means of dealing with this problem at the occasion on L. Szántó's 80th brithday, to draw attention of the broader public to this cirsumstance and thus to help their Marxist-Leninist orientation.
