Abstract

The paper sheds light on the from of skepticism applied in the philosophy of Agrippa von Nettesheim. The question is, whether Agrippa ́s De vanitate could be seen as a skeptical writing and whether its author’s place is among the Renaissance skeptics. The work had been monumentally successful (during the 16th century it was translated into Latin, Italian, French and English). It was also inspiring for Michel de Montaigne.
