Abstract

In the paper some consequences following from the evolutionary theory of concepts which was analyzed in the paper The Evolution of Concepts (Filozofia 45, 1990, No. 3, p. 288-308) are examined. First the author points to a bizarre phenomenon to which no attention has been paid so far, namely: if concepts evolve really the fact must be taken into account that side by side with the evolving concept there are also concepts which represent its  previous stages of evolution. Further he brings a number of antinomies which can be constructed in the evolutionary theory of concepts.
