Abstrakt

The growth of the impact of science on social progress lays high claims on intensification of scientific cognition, on improvement of its methods and development of scientific methodology. Wide elaboration of formal and mathematical research methods contributes towards realization of this task. In the paper problems connected with dialectisc of form and content in formal systems are set up, the task, possibilities and limits of formal and mathematical methods in scientific cognition as well as the specific character of formal and mathematical methods in social sciences are discussed.
